BSOL Members & Guests Meeting

BSOL member Robert Crago recently attended the Australian Seniors Computer Clubs Association Conference, held in Sydney.

Guest Speakers included Kathryn Greiner (a spokesperson for seniors in NSW), Show and Tell technology experts Charlie Brown & Alex Zaharov-Reutt. There were also speakers from Tecnhology companies Google, Microsoft, Apple, Australia Post, The ACCC, and the NBN. Local computer clubs also gave presentations.

In all there were 24 sessions held over the 2 days of the Conference. Robert will present his experiences at the conference.

24 sessions were conducted over 2 days covering topics like:

• My Health Record
• Scams
• Hackers
• Digital Inclusion
• Working Healthy
• Identity Theft
• Chatting with Siri/Google Home
• Planning for Retirement
• The new Digital Mentors Handbook from QUT available for free download
• And even writing your Memoirs!
